Maude Erma (Harris) Fox
1924-2017
Maude E. Fox of Fredericton, NB passed away at the DECH in
Fredericton, NB on April 7, 2017 at the age of 92, after a period of
declining health. Maude was born in Hainesville, NB on December 12,
1924 to Richard Harris and Nina (Cunningham) Harris.
Maude was loved by all who knew her. She was a woman of great faith
and was always kind and gentle. She was known for her sweet smile.
She loved her family dearly and enjoyed quilting with her sister
Hildred.
Survived by a daughter Donna Murdoch (Hermel Benoit) of Waterville,
Sunbury Co., NB; a son Gary Fox (Sharon) of Moncton, NB; step
daughters Carolyn Estabrooks (Chris) and Jacqueline Maillet (Donald);
two brothers, David Harris (Elva) and Donald Harris; sisters, Ruby
Hiltz, Hildred Thompson and Goldie Stewart-Plant (George);
daughter-in-law, Denyse Fox (Jim McGloin); grandchildren, Tammy Marney
(Devon Maskil), Trevor Marney, Jean-Vincent Fox (Alison Wilbur),
Rachelle Bastien (Lance), Derek Fox (Bridget), Nick Fox and Jennifer
Fox (Devon); 17 great grandchildren, Ethan, Kaden, Abel, Stephanie,
Daryll, Mackenzie, Keagan, Owen, Taken, Nicole, Madison, Jayden, Emma,
Melysa, Rebecca, Darian and Brianna as well as several nieces and
nephews. She also leaves behind many dear friends.
Besides her parents, Maude was predeceased by her husband John Harris;
two sons Michael V. Fox in 2009 and Darrell Fox in 1989; a brother
Charles Harris and a sister Jean Brown; nieces Jean Rogers and Judy
Coulter; a sister-in-law Sharon Harris and brothers-in-law Frank
Hiltz, Eldon E. Brown, Murray Flewelling and John Thompson.
Her family would like to thank Drs. Gowan, MacDougall, Cruz and
Downton as well as all of the wonderful nurses and technicians at The
Chalmers Hospital for their incredible kindnesses.
Maude will be resting at Flewellings Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive,
Nackawic, NB with visiting hours on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 12
noon until 2 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2 pm with Wayne
Hutchison officiating. Interment will be later at the Upper Caverhill
Cemetery.
