At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB., Friday, December 15, 2017, Mary Theresa Murphy.
Born in Blacks Harbour, NB., daughter of the late George And Harriet (O’Neill) Murphy.
Mary was very devoted to her family, which was shown by her genuine interest in them and their children. She also had the gift of compassion , which left its mark on many people. Even though her life was difficult, she had a great sense of humour and was a wonderful listener. She was an avid reader and had a real thirst for knowledge.
Mary was a devout Catholic and found great comfort in her faith.
Survived by one brother, Brian (Denise) of St. Stephen, NB., five sisters: Blanche Lee of Victoria, BC., Myrna McCormack of St. Stephen, NB., Shirley Spracklin of Sarnia, ON., Eileen Groot and Beth Haigh, both of Penticton, BC., brother-in-law, Hon. Pat A.A. Ryan, QC. of Fredericton, NB., several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary is predeceased by two sisters, Anne Ryan and Jane Carr and one brother, Richard.
Funeral service will be held in the spring at a time to be announced.
