Mary Ramsay Brockway
1918-2017
It is with heartfelt sorrow that the family of Mary Ramsay
Nee Armstrong Brockway, announce her sudden passing on Tuesday, June
20, 2017 at her home. Mary was born in Inchinnan,

Mary lived in Clyde Bank, Scotland. She worked at

II. Mary was still living in Clyde Bank during the Blitz and

Mary came to Canada in 1946 on the Queen Mary I as a war
bride and made her home in Bonny River where she raised her five
children and was a member of the Second Falls Baptist Church.
Mary’s faith never wavered, nor did her commitment and
devotion to learning and living by the bible, to which she was very
studious. She sang in the choir with the voice of an angel and many
will remember her angelic voice singing « O Holy
Night ».
In 1970, she followed her daughters to Saint John where she
made many friends and touched the hearts of everyone she
met. Mary later became a member of Saint Columba Church and
was a former member of the Eastern Star Mission.
Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her only son
Hughie Brockway in 1969 and daughter Janice Parker in 1999, a great
granddaughter, Amelia, her two brothers: Willie and Hugh Armstrong as
well as her older sister Christina, all of Scotland.

Judith Craft and Frances (Charles) Stevens. Mary was adored
by her grandchildren: Monica (Jack) O’Neill, Blake (Megan)
