Keating, Mary Patricia (Pat)
Age 96, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2016 in Northwood Centre in Halifax.
Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Kathleen (McCarron) Cole.
Pat was a resident of the village of Lakeview for 53 years and moved to Northwood Manor
in 2010. She was an active member of the LWF Ladies Auxilary, loved to garden and bowled
in her earlier years. She was a lovely knitter and made the best homemade rolls and apple pies.
She loved everything « Irish ».
She was predeceased by her husband, Stan, son Michael, siblings, Geraldine, Theresa, Art, Cyril,
and Hilda. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her
children, Jim (Vivian), Bob(Janice), Glenn(Jeanine), Blair(Joan), Mary(Jamie) and her special
daughter-in-law Lorna. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation.
Funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic
Church in Fall River with Father Duncan MacMaster officiating. Burial will be held in Gate of
Heaven cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
