Mary Isabelle « Belle » Greene 1913-2016 Mrs. « Belle » Greene of Seal Cove, Grand Manan Island passed away at The Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 in her 104th year, with her family by her side. She worked many years in various aspects of the fishing industry and the Grand Manan Hospital. She was an active member of the North Head Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school and was a member of The Ladies Missionary Society. Belle was the loving wife of the late Ralph Greene. Cherished mother of son David (Esther) Benson, of Deep Cove, Grand Manan, NB daughters Sylvia (Murray) York of Lorneville, NB Melba (Philip) Anderson of St. Stephen, NB, Brenda (Kim) Smith of Oak Bay, NB and Marian (David) Tomlinson of Orangeville, Ontario. Devoted Gram Belle of twenty eight; great grandmother of fifty seven; great great grandmother of thirty three and great great great grandmother of two. She is predeceased by son Meldon Greene, daughter Irene Linton and six grandchildren. Visiting will take place at The North Head Baptist Church from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Friday July 8, 2016. The Funeral Service will be from the Church on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 1:45pm with Rev. Dr. Jeff Benson and Rev. David Phillip officiating. There will be a grave side service following the funeral at the North Head Community Cemetery. Donations may be made to The North Head Baptist Church, The Gideon’s or the charity of donor’s choice.
