Mary Elizabeth « Betty » Carter
1927-2016
Mary Elizabeth « Betty » Carter, 88, of Moncton, with
her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton
Hospital on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Born in Bass River, she was
the daughter of the late Hugh and Edith (Patton) Campbell.
Betty was a Leading Air Woman with Supply Technician Group 2 of the
Royal Canadian Air Force from October 14, 1952 until her honorable
release on October 13, 1955. She was a former employee of the T. Eaton
Co. Ltd. and Nurses Aid at Spencer Memorial Home with ten
years’ service.
Betty will be sadly missed by her loving children, Rick
« Wheels » Carter and Bill Carter, both of Moncton, Lynn
Rogers (Dave) of Irishtown and Nancy Carter of Moncton; cherished
grandchildren, Kayla Carter, Janelle Carter and Keith Rogers; sister,
Helen Warman of Bass River; several nieces, nephews and great nieces
and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her
brother, Hugh Campbell and sisters, Dorothy Johnson and Beatrice
Little.
A Public graveside service to honor Betty’s life
will be held at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church Cemetery,
Bass River, on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Sandy
Sutherland officiating. Reception to be held following the
service.
