Martha JEAN Squires
1946-2017
Jean Squires of Bear Island, NB passed away February 10, 2017 at the
Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Jean was born in 1946 at Renfrew, ON,
a daughter of the late Sterling and Muriel (Byers) Seymour.
Jean was a teacher at Nackawic Elementary School for nearly 30 years.
Following her retirement she enjoyed gardening, travel and camping
with Bob and her beloved pets. Jean and Bob shared many happy hours
operating their Christmas tree farm.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Squires; her children, Walter
A. Squires (Sandra), Gibsons, BC, Robert T. Squires (Erin), Calgary,
AB and Catherine Jean Squires (Stephan), Fredericton, NB; five
grandchildren, Logan, Alia, Lexi-Lynn, Keira and Kenzi-Jean; her
brother, Harry Seymour (Lesley), Fredericton, NB; a brother-in-law,
William Squires (Nancy); sisters-in-law, Sue Lawrence and Margery
Acheson (Bill); several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis
Drive, Nackawic, NB on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm and on Thursday,
February 16, 2017 from 1 to 2 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2
pm in the funeral home chapel with Alice Finnamore officiating. A
reception will follow at the funeral home. Interment to be held at a
later date.
