Marilyn Bernice Hryhorchuk (nee Lindal)
April 22, 1955 – November 10, 2016
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our wife, mother, amma, sister and aunt, Marilyn.
She was predeceased by her grandparents Thorunn and Jakob Lindal; Beatrice and Alfred Martin; as well as her parents Siggi and Emily Lindal. She is survived by her husband Curtis; son Ryan (Tracy), grandchildren Alaina and Wyatt; daughter Niki (Kole) and Justice (grand-dog); brother Allan (Shaun); sister Lori (Murray) and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Marilyn grew up on the family farm in Sylvan and attended school in Fisher Branch. After graduation, she moved to Winnipeg and attained her Business Accounting Certificate. She worked at ICG for many years and made many friends there. When she met Curtis, she travelled to Riverton on weekends. They married on July 16, 1983 and they had two beautiful children, Ryan and Niki, her pride and joy. Years later she attained her Nurses Aide Certificate, and worked at Riverdale Place, Hecla Provincial Park and Home Care in her community. Her love for knitting and ability to knit almost anything was such a talent, she also made many cabbage rolls, perogies and vinartertas over the years. She generously gave her creations to her family and many friends.
Thank you to all who were part of her life and helped her in many ways.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church, Arborg, Manitoba, with Pastor Gary Schenk officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
