Marguerite (Marg) Neota Piercy 1922-2016 Surrounded by family, Marguerite (Marg) Piercy of McAdam, NB passed away peacefully on August 5th at the DECH. Born on August 22, 1922, Marg was the daughter of the late Cecil and Margery (Smith) May. Aside from family, Marg’s passions in life were gardening, painting, dogs and spending time at the family cottage on Magaguadavic Lake. Marg will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 74 years, Cecil Piercy; sister, Gladys Kingston of Saint John; brother, Ron (Erna) May of Fredericton; daughter in-law, Betty Piercy of Harvey; grandsons, Jeff (Monique) Piercy of Moncton and Greg (Martha) Piercy of Woodstock and great grandchildren Nicholas, Jessica and Kaitlyn. Marg was pre-deceased by sister, Doris Gillespie and son, Gerald Piercy. Visitation will be at Swan’s Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Monday, August 8th from 12:00 – 2:00 pm followed by the funeral service, officiated by Rev. Ellen Beairsto. Interment will take place at a later date at the Rockland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Rockland Cemetary Fund would be appreciated by the family.
