BENDER: Margaret Marjorie age 84 of Swift Current, SK passed away on August 30, 2016 at the Meadows Care Centre. The Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from East Side Church Of God with Pastor Kevin Snyder officiating. The organist was Mary Henderson, special music was provided by Sandy Schwartz, the eulogy was read by Sally Schwartz, and ushers were Tom Schwartz,and Tony Melo. The honorary pallbearers were Christopher Wilson, Riley Wilson, Albert and Jean Schwartz, Gerald and Sally Schwartz and Walter and Audrey Biech, and active pallbearers were Timothy Becker, Shawn Bender, Ryan Bender, Scott Bender, Jason Sorenson and Rob Wolfe. The Interment Service took place form Memory Gardens Cemetery. Margaret is survived by her husband Elmer Bender; her children Joan (Dwayne) Aasen, Sandra (Elwood) Biech, Sharon (Shawn) Wilson, David (Chris) Bender, and Mike (Wendy) Bender; 20 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sisters Jean (Albert) Schwartz, Sally (Gerald) Schwartz, and Audrey (Walter) Biech; brother-in-law Wilbert Bender; sister-in-law Rose Marie Bender; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Gustoff and Molly Hoffman; parents-in-law Jake and Emma Bender; brothers-in-law Henry Hinther, Paul Paulson, Walter Bender and Allan Bender; and sisters-in-law Louaine Paulson, Clara Bender and Lorraine Hinther. Margaret was born on the family farm near Neidpath, SK on October 25, 1931 and attended Luxor School in Neidpath. She was united in marriage to Elmer Bender on November 11, 1948 at the Church Of God country church. She worked along side her husband Elmer on the farm and was a wonderful homemaker and mother. Margaret had many community involvements and also enjoyd baking and cooking, entertaining, homemaking, knitting, and enjoyed her flowers and garden.
