HARVEY, Madeline Gertrude (nee Hill)(March 26, 1936 – August 9, 2016) – It is with great sadness the family of Madeline Harvey announce her passing on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Madeline was born in Botwood, NL, and grew up in Buchans. Madeline is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Leo Harvey (06 June, 2016); parents Roscoe and Mabel Hill; and grandson Ryan. Left to celebrate her life are daughters: Joanne Devereaux (Jim) and Michele Renouf (Keith); sons: Leo (Vikki), Brian, and Paul (Karen); grandchildren: Noelle Thomas-Kennell (Shawn)(great-granddaughter: McKinleigh), Stacie Curtis (Justin), Kristin Harvey (Kris Penney), Julie Devereaux, and Alysha Renouf (Mark Butt); sisters: Beulah Brown (Cliff, deceased), Judy Steinke (Ron), Barb Reid (Bob), Jeanette Courage (Keith), Dianne Dearin (Charles); brothers: Glen (Martine) and Ross (Jean). Also, brother-in-law Neil Harvey (Lois), sister-in-law Hillary (Joe) Pacheco. As well as a number of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Our sincerest thank you to the staff and residents of Chancellor Park for all of the care, compassion, and support offered to Madeline, Leo and all of their family. Madeline was the glue to her family and will be dearly missed. Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday, August 11, from 7-9pm and on Friday, August 12, from 10am-12noon, and 2-4pm. A celebration of Madeline’s life will be held in the visitation room on Friday at 4:00pm. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted in Madeline’s honour to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of one’s choice.
