Elsie, formerly of Central West River and the Glen Haven Manor, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in the Aberdeen Hospital at the age of 96.
Born in Trenton, she was a daughter of the late William and Annie (Irving) MacMillan.
She is survived by her son; Bill (Wendy); grandchildren, Robert (Jamie), Megan (Albert), Michelle and Crystal; and great-grandchildren, Chloe, Jesse, Braydon, Colton, Makayla and Nathan.
Elsie was predeceased by her husband, Vincent; son, Robert; and sisters, Winnie Acorn, Flo MacIntosh, Lucy Wills, Viola MacDougall and Marion MacLean. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In staying with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service at a later date will take place in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville.
If so desired, donations in Elsie’s memory may be made to the SPCA (Granton) or to a charity of choice.
