VALADE, Lorne – Mr. Lorne Joseph Valade passed away peacefully at Hospice Cornwall on Sunday May 1, 2016 with his family by his side, after a short battle with cancer at the age of 87 years. Beloved husband of 63 years to Jessie (née Seymour) Valade. Loving father of Larry (Sherry), Janice, Steven and Peter (Darlene). Cherished grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of James (late Frances). Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Marietta (née McDonald) Valade and 4 siblings Allan (Catherine), Margaret Craig (Clarence), Marie Seymour (Jack) and Theresa McCourt. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and all who knew him. Resting at the Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall where visitation will take place Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Saturday from 9 – 10:15 AM. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be celebrated in St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church on Saturday May 7, 2016 at 11:00 AM followed by cremation.
