It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of our Mother, Lorna Gloria (Thomas) Forrest on this 21 st day of August, 2016 at the Sagewood Nursing Home, Lower Sackville. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Rita (Burke) Forrest (Halifax). Lorna was a tremendous Bingo fan and a past member of the 50+ Club. She enjoyed summer camping and travelling while her children were young. Her biggest and proudest love were her Grandchilden; Lee, Len, Gray Adam and Lindsay. Lorna is survived by children, Nancy, Annapolis Valley; Holly (Barry) Curtis, Milford; Fred, Lake Echo; grandchildren Len Fox (Beth), Bedford; Gray Daniels (Jennifer), Ohio, Adam Curtis (Shauna), Shubenacadie; Lindsay Fraser (Jeff) Dutch Settlement; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Lorna is predeceased by her parents; husband Frederick Forrest; grandson, Donald Leander Fox, brothers Ronald and Harvey; sisters Peggy, Joan, June Griswold, Marion Skinner and Rita Boutilier. Our family would like to thank the staff of Sagewood Nursing Home for their amazing, compassionate kindness and care shown to our Mother and Grandmother. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7-9 and again on Friday from 1 until the time of the service at 2 pm, all in Atlantic Funeral Home 125 Sackville Drive. Burial in Oakridge Memorial Gardens.
