Lloyd John Rosborough
1929-2017
Lloyd J. Rosborough of Smithfield, NB passed away at the Dr. Everett
Chalmers Hospital on June 30, 2017. He was born in 1929, at Hunter
Road, Harvey, NB, a son of the late Sterling and Blanche (Rose)
Rosborough. Lloyd had a passion for hunting, fishing, trapping,
surveying and farming, even though he had an ongoing fight with potato
bugs and spruce bud worm. He enjoyed producing maple syrup and won
Christmas Tree Champion Grower on several occasions. He was known for
his wisdom of history of his family, friends and neighbours. In his
downtime, Lloyd liked watching Hockey Night in Canada and doing puzzle
books.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Noreen Verna (Coffey) Rosborough; two
sons, Wayne (Margaret), of Kingsclear, NB and Wendell (Cindy), of
Smithfield, NB; a daughter, Sharon Hatch (Richard), Harvey, NB;
grandchildren, Ryker, Loretta, Hillary, Jacob, Ryleigh, Griffin and
Mallory; great grandson, Max; brother, Claude Rosborough, Ontario;
sister-in-law, Cathy Rosborough, Mouth of Keswick, NB; brother-in-law,
Clarence Coffey (Judy), Keswick Ridge, NB and several nieces and
nephews and his feline companion Snoopy.
In addition to his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his sisters,
Joyce and infant Jean, and four brothers, George, Douglas, Malcolm and
Lawrence Rosborough, sisters-in-law, Florence, Marlene, Audrey and
Lena Rosborough; and brothers-in-law, Charlie Henderson and Herb
Critchlow.
Visiting hours will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3,
Harvey Station, NB on Sunday 6-9 PM and funeral will be held Monday,
July 3, 2017 at 2 PM at Acton Presbyterian Church, 4125 Route 640,
Acton, NB with Rev. Ann Boudreau officiating. Interment at Acton
Cemetery.

has suggested the Acton Cemetery, Acton Presbyterian Church or the
Heart and Stroke Foundation. Lloyd’s family would like to
express their sincere gratitude to all the nurses in 4 North West at
