Lionel « Leo » Watson of St. Stephen, NB. passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.
Born in Menneval, Restigouche County, NB. on August 30, 1929, son of the late Joseph and Rachelle (Doiron) Watson.
Leo is survived by his wife of 66 years, Eva (Babineau), his children: Roger (Linda) of Oak Bay, NB., Rob of St. Stephen, NB., Ron (Jean) of Wainwright, AB., and Deanna Richardson (Peter) of Ledge Rd., six grandchildren: Jody, Megan, Lea, Christopher, Adrianne and Ryan, four great-grandchildren: Lane, Lexi, Esme and Kayden, two sisters: Jeanne of Hartland and Carmen (Gaston) of Shawinigan, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers: Tony, Phillippe, Willy and sisters: Eva and Celina.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church, Milltown Blvd., St. Stephen, NB on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11 am. Visitation will be held at The S.O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd., 23 Main Street, St. Stephen, NB. on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
