Lavergne, Léonard (1941-2017)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the age of 76 years. Son of the late Aldebert Lavergne and of the late Marie Jeanne (née Martin) Lavergne. Loving husband of Liliane Lavergne (née Vachon) of Sturgeon Falls. Dear father of Omer (Carole) of Cache Bay, Lise Martin (Mario) of River Valley, Jacques (Ginette) and Maurice both of Sturgeon Falls. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Joel, Céline, Dominique, Marc, Zachary, Jason, Kassidy, Bradley, Cody, Riley and by his great grandchildren Maci and Lexi. Predeceased by his grandson Mathieu. Also survived by his brother and sisters, Maxime (Joyce) of Burnt Lake, Gérald of Kirkland Lake and Marie Gaudreau (late Johnny) of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Albert (late Yollande), Laurent (Lucille of Sturgeon Falls), Alice Quenneville (Florian of Sturgeon Falls), Thérèse Renaud (late Fernand), Sister Irène Lavergne S.C.O. and Laurette Gaudreau (Guy of Sturgeon Falls). Léonard retired from Truchon Fuel and was a volunteer firefighter for Springer Township. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, Thursday August 24, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Friday friends may call after 10 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 2 pm. in Ste Thérèse d’Avila Church, Cache Bay. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. (Cheques only).
