Donahoe, Lena (nee Mowatt)
A resident of Chatham, Lena passed away on Sunday, August 13 2017 at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home in her 77th year.
Lena was the beloved daughter of the late James & Edna (nee Barnett) Mowatt.
Loving wife of Thomas James Donahoe for 50 beautiful years.
Remembered always by her children, Tom Donahoe Jr (Nanci) of London & Christine Donahoe of Chatham.
Sister of Isabella King of Harwhich Township & Arlene Thorne (Fred) of Newfoundland.
Beloved aunt of Doug (Geraldine) King of Chatham, Fred (Liz) Thorne of Newfoundland, great-aunt of Caitlyn & Meagan, and missed by nieces and a nephew in Newfoundland.
Lena was very active in Ten Pin Bowling Association, Chatham Chapter of Parkinson’s Society, NCHA, Pull Kats group in Wallaceburg & the Rose City Campers in Windsor. She was also a parishioner of St. Agnes Catholic Church and an avid knitter, crocheter & traveler.
Family to receive friends on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm & 7:00 – 9:00 pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. Parish Prayers will be offered at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 52 Croydon Street, Chatham on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 11:00 am with Fr. Jim Higgins officiating. Cremation to follow.
Donations in memory of Lena may be made to Alzheimer Society & Riverview Gardens Activation Fund.
