In Loving Memory of Laverne “Butch” Black
Passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017, in his 68th year, after a lengthy illness.
Predeceased by his loving wife Linda McKelvey. He will always be affectionately remembered by his son John, daughter-in-law Stephanie, grandchildren Amy, Brenden, Dana, as well as by his favourite companion dog Aussie.
Butch is survived and cherished by his sisters Bonnie (Frank), Sherri (Jim), brother Peter (Marg), sister-in-laws Sharon, Kathy (David), Wendy and predeceased by sisters Marnie and Darlene. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends are invited to visit the family at the Gordon A. Monk Funeral Home Ltd., 127 Bobcaygeon Rd., P.O. Box 427 Minden, Ontario K0M 2K0 on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 11:00 am until the time of the Service to Celebrate Butch’s Life at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow in the Monk-Cray Family Centre. Interment at the Bethel Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be donated to the Auxiliary at the Haliburton Hospital where Butch received ongoing care and support.
