CLARKE, Kent (BA, LST, MRE, DD, Former Archbishop of Edmonton) – Passed away peacefully at Riverview Heights, Pembroke on Tuesday, October 25th at the age of 84 years.
Kent Clarke, husband of Norma Clarke (nee Griffith). Father of Susan Morris (David), London England; John Reid (Marylea), Victoria BC; & Myles Clarke (Jane), North Vancouver BC Grandfather of Marianne & Rachel Morris; and Chris (Andreanna), Jordan, & Brianna Reid. Great-grandfather of Alexa & Riley Reid. Son of the late Roy & Margaret Clarke (nee Brown).
Kent was ordained as a priest May 30th, 1957 by Ottawa Bishop Ernest Reed, and consecrated a bishop May 30, 1976. He served the diocese of Ottawa, Montreal, Niagara and Edmonton.
Special thanks to the staff and nurses of Riverview Heights for their kindness and excellent care for Kent over the years.
Visitation will be held at the MALCOLM, DEAVITT & BINHAMMER FUNERAL HOME, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday, October 28th, from 2-4:00 & 7-9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 12-2:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in St. Thomas Anglican Church, Rankin on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Interment in St. Thomas Anglican Cemetery.
