Katharine Ann Robinson (Lyons)
1926-2017
Passed away at Chalmers Hospital May 19, 2017 after a short
illness.
Survived by her children Susan (Edward Kettela) Beth (Shane
Donovan) and Mark (Jennifer Field). Grandchildren Kate (Tim Miller),
George (Alana Svilans) , Kelly Sue, Kristy (Aaron Clarke). Great
grandchildren Josie and Alex Miller, Taylor and Lexi
Clarke.
She was predeceased in 2006 by her husband of 57 years George
W Robinson « Robbie ». A grandson Brendan in 1976 and great
granddaughter Leila in 2007.
Kay led an active life. A former teacher at FHS and for 13
years at St Thomas University. She was active in St Anne’s Chapter
IODE and in St. Dunstan’s Catholic Women’s League. In later
years she was a member of Stepping Stones Senior Centre and loved to
play bridge with several groups.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St.
Dunstan’s Catholic Church at 12:05 pm on May 24, 2017 with a
reception following. Rev. Bill Brennan will celebrate the
Mass. Interment will take place in the Hermitage Cemetery.
There will be no visitation as per the family’s wishes.
The family wishes to extend thanks and gratitude to the staff
of 4SE and Palliative Care Unit for their kind and loving care over
the last 10 days.
If you wish to make a donation in Kay’s memory the family
requests the Chalmers Palliative Care Unit, the Fredericton Public
Library or the Pine Grove Foundation.
