It is with Profound Sadness, The Family of Karralynn Eleanor
Emily Schreck (nee Mollins) announces her death.
Born in Moncton, NB. to the late George W. and Eleanor M.
Mollins (Flett), May 15, 1940, she was their eldest child. Karralynn
was extremely gifted in many ways: her beautiful/infectious smile, her
kindness, intelligence and beauty impacted everyone who were fortunate
enough to have met her. She was one of the founding members of a local
registered charity, Abandoned Cat Rescue. As a young lady, she won
many awards in her piano recitals. Her passions in life were family,
travel, reading and promoting animal rights. While working in an
administrative position at The Moncton City Hospital, she met the love
of her life, Dr. Fred Schreck. They settled in Selinsgrove,
Pennsylvania, USA, where Fred established his practice. At this time,
Karralynn decided to resume and complete her undergraduate degree in
English Literature, graduating Summa Cum Laud. Then undertaking her
Masters Degree in Psychology. She was very proficient in English,
French and Spanish and enjoyed the study of all languages while
studying to learn more.
Upon Fred’s retirement they split their time
between Grand Digue, NB. and in Phoenix Arizona,US. At this time they
travelled extensively in many parts of the world.
In 2011 after 42 years of marriage, her husband lost his
battle with cancer. In 2016, Karralynn’s health began to
deteriorate ultimately leading to her death.
Her death took place at the Dr. George L. DuMont Hospital,
Friday, September 2, 2016 with her sister Margot by her
side.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband and her beautiful
dear sister, Heather Tuck.
Karralynn leaves behind; her step-son, Jerald Schreck
(Sherri), Phoenix Arizona, US; two brothers, Michael Mollins (Sylvie),
Moncton, NB., Timothy Mollins (Roma), Edmonton, AB.; one sister,
Margot Tuck (Robert), Grand Barachois, NB.
Cremation has already taken place as per
Karralynn’s request, there will be no visitation or service
at this time. In keeping with Karralynn’s passion and
compassion for all animals especially cats, anyone who wishes to make
a donation in Karralynn’s Memory, may be made to; Abandoned
Cat Rescue (Registered Charity) would be greatly appreciated at 436
Middlesex Rd., Colpitts Settlement, NB. E4J 1H6.
