Obituary Our beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt and friend, Judy Lee Hamm passed away with her family by her side on January 28, 2016. Judy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 38 years, Wayne Hamm; son, Jared (Brianna) Hamm; daughter, Jodi (Kirby) Millar; grandchildren: Finnley, Berkley, Kinsley, and Tagen; sister, Sandra (Brian) Kennedy; mother-in-law, Nalda Wheeler; sister in-law, Cheryl (Bert) Desjardins; and many other relatives and close friends. She was predeceased by her loving parents: Edward and Beulah McKeown. Judy was described by many as the kindest person they had ever met. She spent the majority of her life giving to others while never expecting anything in return. There is a well-known quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson that so accurately portrays Judy’s passion for life; “To have lived well, laughed often and loved much”. We extend a special thank you to Judy’s niece Natasha; Thank-you “Tosh” for supporting your Aunt Judy, during her brave fight and being with her until the end. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff of The Grey Nuns Community Hospital. Your Care and Support (for Judy/Mom) will always be remembered. A special thank you to Dr. John Clarke for those special gestures almost unheard of in our busy, modern times. Dr. Clarke, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for the house calls you made to help comfort Judy. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held between 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, February 7, 2016 at The St. Albert Minor Baseball Association Clubhouse at 215 Sturgeon Rd, St. Albert, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in Judy’s name to the Tertiary Palliative Care Unit 43 at The Grey Nuns Community Hospital, 1100 Youville Dr, Edmonton, AB, T6L 5X8.
