It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Joseph with family by his side, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday July 25, 2017 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Tomac) for 59 years. Loving father of Mary-Nancy Radovic and Dennis (Melissa). Proud Papa of Bryson. Survived by his sister Ann Simcic (late Joseph) from Kitchener and brother Janko (late Ann) of Preloka, Slovenia. Predeceased by his parents and sister Mary and brother in law George Semjan from Hampton. Will be lovingly remembered by nieces and nephews in Canada, Slovenia, and U.S.A.
Joseph retired from General Motors, was a member of the Knights of Colombus and was a long time member of St. Mary of the People Roman Catholic Church.
Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Friday July 28th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Prayers will be held at 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary of the People Roman Catholic Church (570 Marion Ave) on Saturday July 29th at 11 am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada would be appreciated.
