JOHN JOSEPH KNORR
March 19, 1944 ~ July 28, 2017
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad, John, age 73 years on July 28, 2017 at the farm. John was born March 19, 1944 in North Battleford, SK to Annie and Jack Knorr. He moved with his family to Fort William in 1959 and went to work on the Paterson Steam Ship-lines in 1960. In 1965 he married Gloria Gerow and started their family. He worked most of his life with Clara Industrial where he was a life-long member of the Painter’s Local 1671.
John enjoyed going out to the bush hunting with the boys, and fishing in the summer and winter. His favourite pastime was playing buck with the family and watching old western movies, especially Clint Eastwood. In his later years he enjoyed spending time in the garden and canning the fruits of his labour with his daughter. He also loved to paint everything that looked like it might need it.
John is survived by his children Darren (Tina), Sherrie (Alf), Wayne, Calvin (Antonella), John-Randy (Mandy) and Jeff; grandchildren, Ashlee, Cody, Shelby, Colt, Isabella, John, Sophia and Destiny; and siblings Eileen, Willie, Lydia, Louise, Larry and Betty-Ann. He was predeceased by his parents Annie and Jack; brother Ben and sister Madeline.
Funeral services for the late Mr. John Knorr will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11:00 am in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 W. Gore Street at James. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior. Interment will follow.
If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of John to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.

Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de John Knorr.source
