John JACK Bart Coughlan
1938-2017
It is with great sadness that the family of Jack Coughlan of Zealand,
NB, announce his recent passing on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Dr.
Everett Chalmers Hospital.
Jack was born in Stanley, NB on December 13, 1938 to the late William
and Helen (Davidson) Coughlan. Jack worked for many years for a local
Tree Trimming Company until he branched out on his own as the owner of
his own company, JB Coughlan Line & Tree Trimming. His dream
lasted until his retirement.
Jack was loved by many, being known to make a lot of friends and a
good ol’ cup of coffee. He loved daily drives with his daughter
and granddaughter, as well as listening to old country songs and
playing the guitar back in the day.
He is survived by two sons, Mark Coughlan (Lisa), Zealand, NB and
Timothy Coughlan (Audrey), Burtts Corner, NB; a daughter, Vicki Lee
Coughlan (Vito Burtt), Burtts Corner, NB; the mother of his children,
Paullette Coughlan, New Maryland, NB; five grandchildren, Christina
Coughlan (Cody), Bradley Coughlan (Mary), Jozie-Lee Coughlan (Chad),
Emma-Lee Coughlan and Kelsey Coughlan; two step grandsons, Jacob and
Kobe Cochrane; nine great grandchildren, Averie, Piper, Isaac, Levi,
Rowan, Oliver, Duncan, Taylor and Dylan .
Jack is also survived by three sisters, Gladys Brice (Lewis),
Fosterville, NB, Bonnie Snowdon (Wayne) and Georgie McArthur (Ronald),
both of Fredericton, NB; sisters-in-law, Jan Coughlan, Pembrook, ON
and Valerie Coughlan, Fredericton, NB; several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
And Jack will always be remembered by his Faithful Companion and
beloved best friend, his dog Willie.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a granddaughter,
Toni P. Wood; daughter-in-law, Michele Lee Coughlan;
granddaughter-in-law, Rebecca Coughlan and brothers, Alden and Dudley
Coughlan.
Visiting hours will be held at Stone Ridge Pentecostal Church, 129
Upper Stone Ridge Road, Zealand, NB on Friday evening, March 17, 2017
from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 18,
2017 at 2 pm from the church with Rev. Terrance Brewer officiating.
Interment will be later at Stone Ridge Community Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be sons, Mark and Tim Coughlan, grandchildren,
Bradley, Jozie, Christina, Emma and Kelsey; son-in-law, Vito Burtt and
nephew, Brian Brice.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Stone
Ridge Community Cemetery.
