John Hutton January 11, 1941 – October 11, 2015

John Alexander Hutton January 11, 1941 – October 11, 2015 John passed away at home surrounded by his loving family, wife Joyce (nee McLean), daughter Stacey Sorokowsky (David) of Lockeford, California, son Alex (Yuko) of Sendai, Japan, daughter Sarah (Stephen Miles) of Calgary, Alberta & daughter Merry Anne (Duncan Stuart) of Toronto. Proud, loving “Gaga” (grandfather) to Kaede Clara & Seita Alexander of Japan, and Keira Abigayle of Calgary. Eldest son of the late Clarence & Dorothy (nee Gibson) of Huttonville. Sadly missed by his brothers William (Bill) & Jane, and Peter & Lorraine, and by many nieces & nephews, and also by Gibson, Thompson & McLean families. After graduating from Niagara Parks Commission School of Horticulture, John established and was owner/operator of Hutton Nurseries for 25 years. John served as a City of Brampton councillor for 29 years. The family would like to extend their thanks to the wonderful care from St. Elizabeth Health Care, Care Partners, the Oncology department at Brampton Civic Hospital, especially Dr. Sehdev & team, CAS (Cancer Assistance Services) of Georgetown, Dr. Grainger & Queen Square medical staff, and all those who helped drive to & from Princess Margaret Hospital appointments. Friends may be received at the Scott Funeral Home- Brampton Chapel, 289 Main Street North, 905-451-1100, on Wednesday, October 14th, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. as well as Thursday, October 15th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Christ Church located at 4 Elizabeth Street, Brampton on Friday, October 16th, 2015 at 11 a.m. You are welcome to sign our book of online condolence at www.scottbrampton.ca
