John Burpee Anderson
1933-2017
(August 25, 1933 – May 24, 2017)
John B. Anderson, 83, of Lower Caverhill, York Co, NB passed away
peacefully at his home with his family by his side on May 24, 2017.
Born in Lower Caverhill, NB, he was the son of the late Robert and
Josephine (Gullison) Anderson.
John is survived by his wife of 59 years, Winnifred (Morgan) Anderson;
son Bruce Anderson and daughter, Sandra Anderson, both at home. He is
also survived by his sister, Doris Morgan; nine nieces and nephews;
several great nieces and great nephews and cousins and by special
family friends, Lonnie and Cindy Forbes and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Brent; infant
sister Roberta and an infant brother; four brothers-in-law and one
sister-in-law; one nephew and one great nephew.
Affectionately known as Dad, Father, Johnnie, Uncle Johnnie,
‘FlapJack’ and ‘Cute Little Johnnie’, he was
born and lived his entire life on the family farm. A wood carver by
hobby and an avid gardener, he always enjoyed whittling on a piece of
wood, being in the garden, playing a good game of cards (no cheating
of course) and fishing in the Deadwater.
Special thanks is extended to the exceptional care received from DECH
4NW staff and through the Extra Mural Program of Fredericton.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis
Drive, Nackawic, NB on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral
service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 2:30 pm from the
funeral home chapel with Rev. George Clark officiating. Interment at
Upper Caverhill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kendall Morgan, Lester Morgan, Wally Brownlow,
Ritchie Brownlow, Ryan Forbes and Mark Forbes.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of John, the family
has suggested the Upper Caverhill Cemetery or a charity of the
donor’s choice.
