BEITZ, Jennie (nee Woronka) (Member of St. Joseph’s Church, Guelph, CWL)
February 23, 1923 – December 15, 2017
Suddenly, but peacefully, with her family at her side, at the Guelph General Hospital, on Friday, December 15, 2017. Jennie Beitz, in her 95th year, was predeceased by her loving husband George (June 30, 2012) of sixty years and by an infant daughter (1960). Loving Mom to Peter (Kitty), Chrissie McKay (Rob), Francine Lodder (Jack), Michael and Lisa. Precious Nana to Lindsay Andrade (Dan), Joshua (Katie), Reuben, Jonathan, Amanda McKay (Milos) and Matthew McKay (Alix). Proudest Nana-Nana to her greatest blessings Sophia, Isabella, Elyanna, Levi, Benjamin, Yeshua and
Samuel. Step Nana of five and Step Nana-Nana to fourteen grandchildren.
Jennie will be missed by her sister Teresa Lapinski and Mary Kosty, sisters-in-law Mary Ellen Kochus, Elizabeth Dyson and Marva Barlow. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Mom enjoyed a road trip with her granddaughters Amanda and Alix and daughter Chrissie in September 2016 to New Hampshire to visit a special niece, Nance and her husband Bryan. Jennie is predeceased by her brothers Stanley and Mikey.
The family would like to thank Drs. Nick and Will Ruddock and Dr. Lee for their care of Mom over the years. Thank you very much to the wonderful 911 dispatcher, ambulance, fire and police for their compassionate care, especially Constable Josh for driving Lisa to the hospital. Thank you to the GGH Emergency doctors, nurses, health care staff and security who showed the upmost caring and empathy at this difficult time. A special thank you to our next door neighbors, the Mooney’s, for their love and care over the years.
Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Jennie will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 8:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated
at St. Joseph’s Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph, on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Ronald McDonald House or to Community Living would be appreciated by the family.
