Jean Steeves
Jean Steeves, 89, of Monarch Hall, Riverview, passed away
peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Born in
Riverside-Albert, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Minnie
(Govang) Russell. Jean was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and
attended St. Paul’s United Church. She enjoyed painting,
golfing and spending time at the cottage and was a lifetime member of
the UCW and the I.O.D.E.
Jean will be sadly missed by her children, Doug Steeves
(Su-Ann) of Lower Coverdale and Anne Cruickshank of Moncton;
grandchildren, Erin, Trevor, Lindsey, Katie and Christopher; several
nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by
her husband, Eldon R. Steeves (1998); daughter, Susan Steeves (2011);
sisters, Dorothy and Linda and brother, Gordon. She was the last
surviving member of her immediate family.
A Service to celebrate and honor Jean’s life will
be held at St. Paul’s United Church, Cleveland Ave.,
Riverview on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 1:30 pm, with Rev. Dr.
Andrew O’Neill officiating. Reception following the service.
Interment will be held in Greenhill Cemetery, Edgett’s
Landing.
