Jean Kathryn Dunphy
1931-2017
The death of Jean Dunphy of Saint John, beloved wife of the
late Earl Dunphy, occurred on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Saint
John Regional Hospital. Born on June 12, 1931 in Saint John,
she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Helen (Grass)
Cameron.
Jean treasured the times spent with those she loved and will
be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister,
aunt and dear friend to many. She always took great comfort
in her faith and was a member of St. John the Baptist (Mission Church)
and St. Clements. Jean enjoyed watching black and white
movies and will be greatly missed.
Jean is survived by her children, Pamela Allen (William) of
Saint John, Candace Craib (Michael) of Riverview, Arthur Dean (Debbie)
of Ontario and Christopher Dean (Tressa) of Saint John;
daughter-in-law, Shaunnette Dean (the late Lawrence « Larry »
Dean); step-children, Beth Gunter (Russ) of Quispamsis, Lois Rickard
(David) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Earl Dunphy (Karen) of Red Head and
David Dunphy (Heather) of Toronto; sister, Mary Murphy (Byran) of
Saint John; grandchildren, William Allen Jr. (Lisa), Mike Dean
(Holly), Kelly Duke (Mason), Jeffrey Dean and the late Doug Allen
(Brandie); her youngest and dear great-grandsons, Nicolas and Patrick;
several other great-grandchildren who she loved dearly; very close
cousin, Carolyn Cook (Bob); as well as many other cousins, nieces and
nephews.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral
Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with
visiting on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The
funeral service will be held from St. John the Baptist (Mission
Church) and St. Clements, 815 Millidge Avenue, Saint John on
Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the NB Heart
and Stroke Foundation, Romero House or a charity of the
