HUBAC, Jarka
It’s with profound sadness that the family of Jarka Hubac announces her passing after a short yet courageous battle with cancer at her Calgary home, surrounded by loved ones.
Jarka is lovingly remembered by her daughter and best friend, Khristina; son, Miro; and cherished grandchildren, Mila & Gabriella. She is predeceased by her dearest husband, Miroslav Hubac who passed only 2 short years before in their family home. Thankfully they are now together in heaven happily fishing, camping and enjoying each other’s company, along with her parents, Bohuslav & Barbra Kinzel.
Fine European baking was Jarka’s passion and she loved to share her creations with friends and strangers alike. She was an active member of the Slovak-Czech community, whose generosity both with her time and her friendships was infamous. She was truly adored by all who knew her, and she will be remembered for the strength and courage that she provided to many. This wonderful woman was taken from us far too soon. If loved could have saved her, Jarka would’ve lived forever.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 1600 Acadia Drive SE, Calgary, AB on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 1:00 pm.
