Passed away peacefully with his son Mark at his side, at Stratford General Hospital, on Wednesday December 27, 2017 Mr. James Richard Butcher of Clinton in his 75th year. Beloved husband of the late Ellen Elizabeth (Lindsay) Butcher. Loving father of Matt (Paula) Butcher of Sudbury, and Mark Butcher of Clinton. Cherished grandfather of Michael & James. Dear brother and brother in law of Robert (Donna) Butcher of St. Thomas, Don (Barb) Lindsay of Bayfield, and Clarkia Lindsay of Frederickton, New Brunswick. Special friend of Kaye Watkins. Also missed by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Cyril & Gladys Butcher, his father and mother in law John & Jean Lindsay, and brother in law George Lindsay. Friends will be received at the Falconer Funeral Home, 153 High St., Clinton, on Tuesday January 2, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. Spring Interment Clinton Cemetery.
