In Loving Memory
James “Jim” Thomas Dutfield
After a courageous battle with cancer, Jim passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 30th at Credit Valley Hospital. He was a beloved husband and
best friend of 41 years to Cindy. He will be lovingly remembered and dearly
missed by Cindy, their children, Jordan, Casey, and Noah, their 5 grandchildren,
and his mother, siblings, step mother, relatives, and friends.
During his lifetime,
Jim was a devoted husband and father. He was a caring and passionate friend,
teacher, colleague, and hockey coach at Philip Pocock and St. Marcellinus
Secondary Schools. Jim had a passion for sports, playing hockey all of his life,
and coaching his sons’ hockey teams throughout their youth.
Jim’s family welcomes friends and those who knew and loved him to a Celebration of Life, which will be held on Saturday, November 11th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Glen Oaks Funeral Home (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville )
To honor the memory of Jim’s life, the family asks in lieu of flowers any donations can be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation (Bone Marrow Research and Transplant Fund) or Diabetes Canada.
