James « Jim » Patrick Humes
It is with great sadness that the family announces the
passing of James « Jim » Humes at The Moncton Hospital on
Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the age of 74 years. Born in Moncton, he
was the son of the late Roy and Sara (McQuade) Humes.
Jim retired from C.N. Real Estate after 34 years’
of service. Jim was involved in many Moncton area sports: playing
and/or organizing cards, pool, darts, softball and
hockey.
He is survived by his wife, Odette (Gauvin); one son, Derek
(Argentina) of Ottawa, ON; daughters, Audrey (Bev) and Angela (Marc),
both of Moncton; grandchildren, Amedee, Nathan, Nick, Noah, Beljique
and Armando. He was predeceased by his brother, Jack and is survived
by sisters, Sheila, Carol (Doug) of Nova Scotia, Dede (Dick) of Maine,
USA and brothers, Gary (Carroll) and Brian (Joan) of Ontario; as well
as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours to celebrate Jim’s life will be
held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995)
on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Private family
interment to be held at Alderwood Cemetery, Riverview.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory can
