GARBERG, James Joseph – Passed peacefully away at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre, following a courageous year long battle with cancer on Monday, July 31, 2017, James “Jimmy” Garberg age 55 years. Predeceased by his parents, Mary and Ole Garberg; daughter Meghan; sister Sharon Garberg; nephew Terry Mayo. Leaving to mourn, children: Jimmy, Shane, Jordan, Monica and granddaughter, Kileigh; sisters: Mary, Sheila, Barb, Linda, Cathy and Judy; brothers: Eddy and Shawn; a very special nephew and caretaker, Darrell; special friends and buddies: Gary Dunne, Bill Ryall and Randy Mercer; plus a large number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday, August 3, from 10am-9pm. Funeral service to take place at Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 2:00pm with cremation to follow. Burial will take place at Kilbride Roman Catholic Cemetery on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 11:00am.
