James Allen Gauvreau

Obituary It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sad passing of James (Jim) Gauvreau on August 22, 2012 at 64 years of age. He is survived by his wife, Shirley in St. Albert; his sister, Diane in St. Albert; his sons, David (Tracey) in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Darcy (Tammy) in Leduc Alberta, Dean (Marina) in Leduc, Alberta; daughter, Jacqui (Chad) in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; stepdaughter, Robin (Jeremy) in Prince George; and his beloved grandchildren, Haley, Austin, Christopher, Aslyn, Logan and Owen. Jim also leaves behind three furry buddies, “Kasey”, “Oskar” and “Lucy”. He was predeceased by his dad, Omer in 1976, his brother, Dennis in 2000 and his mom Laurette in 2006. Jim loved volunteering with the veterans and was president of the Army, Navy and Veterans Club and also was a member of the Elks. He was instrumental in getting funding for the young navy cadets and enjoyed watching them perform and talking to them. A Celebration of Jims Life will be held on Thursday, August 30th from 1 to 5 at the Elks Hall, 11823 – 129 Ave Edmonton In lieu of flowers Jim would be honored to have donations given to the Sqn 10 Waddington Jr. League Navy Sea Cadets, in care of the Elks Club 11823 – 129 Avenue, Edmonton.
