J. Norman Gray
1933-2017
Joseph Norman Gray, husband of Henrietta Gray, of Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home and formerly of Wellington St., passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at the age of 83.
Born in St. Louis de Kent, he was the son of the late Arthur and Amanda Gray. He was a retired employee of the Canadian Armed Forces (R.C.A.F.) as well as a retired employee of Brunswick Mines Ltd., having 24 years of service. He attended St. Michaels Basilica, Miramichi.
He is survived by his wife, the former Henrietta Nash; two sons, Gary Gray, of Moncton and Alan Gray, of Summerside, PEI; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Aldona Maillet, of Sudbury, Ont.; two brothers, Conrad Gray, of N.B. and Florent Gray, of Saint John; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Alberta Cormier; two sons, Dale and Kenneth Gray; two brothers, Yoland and Claude Gray.
By request there was no visiting. A public memorial service was held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, September 18, 2017, at 2 pm, conducted by Father John Fraser. Songs for the service was “The Lord’s My Shepherd”, “To You Oh Lord, I Lift My Soul” and “Imaculate Mary” sung by the congregation. The reading was done by Terri Cormier and the prayers of intercession was led by Cheryl Cormier.
