IGNAZ WILLIAM FEICHTINGER (BILL)
1927-2017
It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of their steadfast patriarch Bill, who had celebrated his [90]th birthday.
Bill is predeceased by his dear wife Anna (Gerold), and leaves his children, daughter, Monika (Heinz Sautner) of Austria, son Joseph (Patricia Woytko) of Winnipeg, MB son Rudi of Hanover, and daughter Helga (Robert Braun) of Duncan, BC. Bill was grandfather to 7 beloved grandchildren, Bernard, Linda, Sylvia, Benjamin, William, Joseph and Abigail and 2 great grandchildren Patricia and Alexander.
Bill was born in the province of Burgenland, Austria with 9 other siblings.
His lifelong passion in flour milling began at age 14 in his native Austria. Bill emigrated to Winnipeg, MB in 1953 and sought employment with Soo-Line Mills and Maple Leaf Milling where he became head miller and career member of the Association of Operative Millers. Knechtel Milling Ltd. (now P&H Milling Group Ltd.) of Hanover sought his employment in 1972 as head miller and provided the challenge for him in Hanover. He readily accepted the responsibility of milling operations and provided the leadership necessary for the state-of-the-art flour milling operation that exist today. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held at Holy Family Church, Hanover, on Friday May,19th, 2017 from 9:30am with Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment in Holy Family Cemetery, Hanover. Arrangements entrusted to Mighton Funeral Home. Donations may be made to Holy Family Church, Hanover.
