Chisholm- Hugh Dan age 87 of Long Point N.S.
The family sadly announces the death on Friday December 30, 2016 at the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home.
Hugh Dan was born on March 25th 1929 to John Allan Chisholm and MaryAnn
(MacDonald) Chisholm.
Hughie was a lifelong resident of Long Point Inverness County and was employed by Canada Post and the “Last Post Master of Long Point”.
He is survived by his Sister Violet , (Bill) Beamish, and sister in law Freda (Marshall) Chisholm.
He was predeceased by his sisters Mary Catherine (Harold) MacMaster, Effie, (Leo) Boutlier, brothers Donald, Duncan Hector (Patricia) and Sandy.
Resting in Green’s Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury 6-9pm on Monday January 2nd, 2017.
Funeral Mass will be offered at 10: 00 a.m. Tuesday January 3rd, 2017 from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Creignish, with Rev. Duncan MacMaster and Rev. Hugh Macdonald presiding.
Burial in the Parish Cemetery a later date.
The Family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the staff of the Nursing home especially the “Rhodena wing” for their exceptional care and kindness extended to Hughie Dan during his time there.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Green’s Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
