Obituary of Hilma Enserink
Hilma Johanna Enserink, 61 of Berwick passed away November 3, 2017 in the QEII Health Centre, Halifax. She was born December 20, 1955 in Charlottetown, PEI to the late Lambert and Ina Enserink.
Hilma is survived by sister Nell McMaster of Kingston; brothers Martin Enserink of Loon Lake; Jack Enserink of Woodville; also, her 17 nieces and nephews and 12 great nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving sister-in-law Donna (Jack) Enserink; nephew Joshua Enserink and great niece Carina Johnson.
Hilma loved her family and the time she spent with them. She eagerly anticipated her birthday party every December. The annual Loon Lake potluck was also very special to her. Every spring Hilma delighted in finding the first mayflowers and sharing them with her family. She loved showing off the huge sunflowers she grew for many years and on hot summer days, she’d pick blackberries for her favourite jelly.
Hilma volunteered at the Apple Dumpling Day Care for many years and also for several years at the Kings Rehailitation Centre, Waterville for which she was thrilled to receive Volunteer of the Year.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday November 7, 2017 at 2:30 pm in the Berwick Funeral Chapel. Family flowers only, please. Memorial donations may be made to the Beehive Adult Service Centre, Aylesford or to Kings Rehab, Waterville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Berwick Funeral Chapel, 192 Commercial Street Berwick (902-538-9900).
Hilma’s family would like to thank Wendy (Fundy Villa, Berwick) for the loving care she gave our little sister. We would also like to thank the staff at VRHS and QEII for the compassion and excellent care Hilma received.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Hilma
