Obituary
Service Details
Henrich (Hank) Weeler
June 10, 1929 to Nov 20, 2017
Hank Weeler passed away peacefully after a short but fierce battle with Cancer.
Dad was born to Katharina Giesbrecht and John Wieler at the start of the depression era. The family lived on a farm in the Jordon area of Manitoba, near Morden.
Dad married our mother, Anne in 1955 who passed away many years ago. He is survived by his 5 children; Joanne of Winnipeg, Carol (Guy) Charbonneau of Winnipeg, Robert (Donna) Weeler of the Lockport region, Joyce Wieler of Calgary, and Michael (Michelle) Wieler of Missoula Montana region. Dad will be missed by his grandchildren; Patty Charbonneau, Byron and Jennifer, Tony and Heather Weeler and Ruby and Cash Wieler. Dad will also be deeply missed by his girlfriend and companion of more than 20 years, Fran Mozel of Beausejour and her children Debbie (Nathan) Dugard of Beausejour and David (Lyla) Mozel and their sons Sterling and Kingston all of Hinton Alberta.
Dad was a truck driver and mechanic for many years to provide for his family but in his heart he was a farmer. He farmed almost all his life even while holding down full time employment elsewhere. He continued farming in the Libau region after retirement for as long as he was physically able.
Dad will be most remembered for his love of family and strong work ethic. He passed these traits onto all his kids and grandkids. They have helped us become the strong independent people we are today.
Cremation will take place soon.
As per Dad’s wishes, no memorial service is planned.
