Hendrikje « Henny » Sehdev was born Nov 25 1942, and spent the first 14 years of her life in Zutphen, Holland. In 1956 her family immigrated to the Durham region and have stayed in the area ever since. Predeceased by her parents Gerrit and Hendrikje Nekkers. Loving wife of Manjit Singh Sehdev. Henny passed away on November 6th under palliative care at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa, Ontario, after battling pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her husband Manjit, daughter Sharon Sehdev (husband Ari Ondrack), sons Alex Sehdeva (wife Laura) and Michael. Also survived by her grandchildren Leo and Ivy Ondrack, and Claire and Keira Sedheva. Will be greatly missed by her brothers John (Nellie), Gerald (Kathy), Peter (Anne), Tony and George. Henny worked briefly as an administrative assistant at Insurance companies and General Motors. She dedicated most of her life to being a loving homemaker. She and her family lived in Oshawa, Whitby, Baton Rouge, Louisiana for 10 years, then moved back to Whitby. She had a love of books, cooking, golf, movies, and discussing ideas. She will be greatly missed by both her Dutch and Indian families and friends.
