Dignard, Helene Rose (née Lemieux) 1925 – 2017
It is with deep sadness that the Dignard family announces the death of their mother Helene Rose Dignard (née Lemieux), who passed away peacefully at the age of 92, at Au Chateau in Sturgeon Falls, Tuesday November 21st, 2017. Daughter of the late Ephrem and the late Rosalie (née Beauparlant) Lemieux. Predeceased by her husband Armand Dignard whom she married in April of 1946. Loving and caring mother of the late Rejean (Pierrette of Ottawa), late Andre (Nicole of Sudbury), Therese Lafleur (Don) of Sturgeon Falls, Denise Jarbeau (Michel) of Webbwood, Gerard (Madeleine) of St. Charles, and Jean Paul (Lise) of Sudbury. She was cherished by her grandchildren, Yves, Simon, Brigitte, Charles, Rachel, Justin, Renee, Lyssa, Dominique, Mireille, Pierre, and Josee. She will be lovingly remembered by her great grandchildren, Seth, Zacharri, Jeremy, Brianna, William, Logan, Ashton, Alissa, Charles, Ian, Mila, Felix, Arabella, and Cora. Predeceased by her brother Maurice Lemieux as well as her sisters Alma Whissel and Jaqueline Whissel. Survived her sisters Yvette Plante of Sudbury, Fernande Groulx of Ottawa, and Monique (Ray), Dennie, Louisianna, her brother-in-law Bruce Sénécal (Denise) of Ottawa, and her sister in law Aline Lauzon of Welland. Her most precious moments were spent on the family farm in St. Charles surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mrs. Dignard also found much comfort and joy in her faith. The family will receive friends in the St. Charles Community Hall, St. Charles, Thursday November 30, 2017 from 2-5 and 7-9:30 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday December 1, 2017 at 10 am in St.Charles Borromé Church, St. Charles. A heartfelt thank you is expressed to the staff of Au Chateau for the excellent care provided to Mrs. Dignard and her family. Funeral arrangements in care of the Théoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated. (cheques only)
