Helen Rita Donohue -2016 It is with deep regret we announce the passing of our dear Aunt, Helen Donohue, at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 surrounded by her loving relatives. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Effie Mae (Dowd) Donohue. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews who miss her greatly. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brothers Joseph and John; sisters Florence (Cassidy), Kathleen (Savage), Edith (Meredith) and Margaret (Budd); brothers-in-law Percy Budd, Walter Cassidy and Laurier Savage; sister-in-law Josephine Donohue. Helen was a member of St. Bernard’s Parish and the Irish Canadian Cultural Association. Helen worked for Eaton’s mail order department until its closure and was a former member of the Eaton’s Quarter Century Club. She was a volunteer with St. John’s Ambulance. She enjoyed bowling, knitting and travelling extensively with friends and relatives. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home on Monday, August 1, 2016 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church,43 Botsford St. Moncton on Tuesday, August 02, 2016 at 1:30pm with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery. Memorial donations in Helen’s memory made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
