Kratz, Helen Katherine (nee Weber)
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3, 2016 surrounded by family at The Village at University Gates, Waterloo in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Leroy Kratz (2009) for 56 years, mother to Terry, Caryl, Steven and Lynn. Special grandma to Brian and Maggie, Mike and Laura, and Stephanie and Matt. Helen was the last surviving member of her family having been predeceased by her parents, Emma and Louis, sisters Vera, Melinda and Nelda and brother Reuben of Neustadt area. Some of Helen’s favourite pastimes were watching the Lake Huron sunset at the family cottage, cooking family dinners, sewing, especially comforters in recent years and spending time with her grandchildren. To all who helped care for Helen at Winston Park and then University Gates, those who made her days pleasant and made her smile and wave, we sincerely thank you. A private family service will be held. .
In memory of Helen, donations to the Canadian Lutheran World Relief or Kidsability would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). Arrangements entrusted to Henry Walser Funeral Home, Kitchener 519-749-8467.
