Weales, Hazel Joan (Tinworth – Brock) – Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Hospital, Oshawa on Tuesday July 19th at age 92 years. She was predeceased by her husband(s) Leslie Tinworth in 1976, George Weales in 1983 and son Rodney in 2006. Beloved mother of Christopher (Barbara) Tinworth and Jennifer (George) Marmara, grandmother of Sheila, David, Steven, Kelly and Brian and great grandmother of Sarah, Brenna, Logan, Aleah and Laesa. She was a long-time member of St. George’s Memorial Anglican Church where she will be missed for her warm smile and dedicated service. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Supportive Care Unit at Lakeridge for their support of the family and professional care and love for Mum over the past five months. Thanks also go out to the Personal Support Workers and other staff from CCAC for their assistance during Mum’s time at home. Visitation will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 21 Garrard Rd, Whitby, 905-443-3376, on Friday July 22, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service at St. George’s Memorial Anglican Church, Oshawa, on Saturday July 23, 2016 at 11:00am. Joan will be laid to rest at Mount Lawn Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Lakeridge Health Foundation – Palliative Care Unit or St. George’s Memorial Church.
