Harry W. Prosser
1933-2017
Harry W. Prosser, 83, of Riverview, NB and formerly of
Sussex, passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Monday, June 5, 2017.
Born in Riverside Albert,NB; he was the son of the late Harry and
Clara Prosser. Harry retired after 38 years service as a Machinist at
the CN Shops. He was also a member of the CN Pensioners
Association.
He was a active member of the Riverview Lions Clubs and a
Life member of the Lions Foundation of Canada and he was also a former
member of the Sussex Lions Club before transferring to
Riverview.
Harry was a avid crib player and a sports enthusiast with
included bowling, baseball and hockey, he was a supporter of the
Fisher Cats Baseball team and season ticket holder of the Moncton Wild
Cats Hockey and he enjoyed fishing and hunting partridge with his
brother Norman.
He was a book collector and loved looking for deals at yard
sales. Harry could be seen annually at the Sussex Summer Flea Market
selling his books and collectables.
He will be sadly missed by his children Pam Gallant (Robert)
of Riverview, Terry (Deborah) of Gondola Point and Bryan of Anagance;
by five grandchildren Crystal, Jordan (Krista) and Ryan, Brittany
(Alex) and Holly; as well as great grandchildren; his brother Norman
(Anne) Prosser of Sussex; brother-in-laws Ozzie DeWolfe and Albert
Hebert and sister-in-law Shirley also by his special friend Bev
Robinson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters Carol and
Vivian and by a brother Ivan.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers &
Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Thursday, June
8, 2017 from 7 to 9pm this will be followed by a Lions Member Tribute
Service conducted by the Riverview Lions Club at 9:00pm from the
Funeral Home.
The Funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers &
Riverview Funeral Home and Memorial Chapel, Riverview on Friday, June
9, 2017 at 10:30 am with Rev. Steve Berube officiating.
Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton,
NB
Donations in Harry’s memory made to the Heart &
Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s
choice.
