HAROLD RAY
1920 – 2017
Mr. Harold Ray went to be with his Lord and Savior at the Rosefield Care Centre on July 24, 2017 at the age of 97 years.
Harold was born on February 23, 1920 in Hilda, Alberta and was raised in Golden Spike, Alberta and as a young man moved with his family to West Lynn where he farmed with his father. He met Freida Metzger and knew she was the one. They were married shortly after and started farming on their own. Freida passed away in 2000, Harold stayed on the farm until 18 months ago when he moved to Rosefield. Harold loved his beautiful yard along with the fish pond and loved watching the birds. His passion however was watching his crops grow and his horses.
Harold is survived by his daughter: Phyllis (Jerry) Litz, and sons: Raymond (Colleen) Ray, Victory (Barb) Ray and Floyd (Sharon) Ray and daughter in law Hazel Ray; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was predeacesed by his loving wife Freida and a son Les Ray.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Innisfail Nazarene Church on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Rosefield Care Centre or the Innisfail Nazarene Church.
