SAUNDERS, Gordon, WWII Veteran Passed away peacefully at Riverview Manor on Friday July 10, 2015 in his 98th year. Loving husband to Doris Jones, and the late Mary Alexander. Cherished father of Brenda (Bob) of St. Catharines. Dear step-father of Janice (Gary), Larry (Gloria), Wendy (Mike) of Oakville, Julie (Holland), and John (Jung) of Toronto. Loving step grandfather of Steve, Drew, Jaclyn, Michele, Avelen, Kayla, and Chris and great step grandfather of Logan, Kate and Sara. Dear brother of Clara Lockington, and Ken Saunders. Gordon was a Sergeant in Ordinance Corps – Europe. He was Past President of The Erindale Lions Club – Mississauga, and member of St. Andrews United Church. Also Gordon was a 32nd Degree Mason – Peterborough Masonic Lodge # 155, and Scottish Rights Lodge. A funeral service will take place at NISBETT FUNERAL HOME, 600 Monaghan Rd. (705-745-3211) on Friday July 17th at 1 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. A reception will take place in the Nisbett Reception Centre, followed by the interment.
